ISTANBUL

China's industrial production improved by 6.6% year-on-year in November, the National Bureau of Statistics of China revealed on Friday.

The mining sector index increased by 3.9%, manufacturing by 6.7%, and production and supply of electricity, thermal power, gas and water grew 9.9%.

The value added of high-technology manufacturing rose by 6.2% year-on-year, the statistical bureau said.

"In the first eleven months, the total value added of industrial enterprises above the designated size increased by 4.3 percent year on year," it said.

The bureau added that the manufacturing purchasing managers’ index stood at 49.4% and the production and operation expectation index was 55.8%.
