China, Thailand begin naval drill, focusing on maritime strike operations
Drill to last until early April

ISTANBUL
China and Thailand launched the Blue Strike-2025 joint naval drill Wednesday with a focus on maritime strike operations, according to the Beijing-based daily Global Times.
The sixth edition at a naval port in Zhanjiang, in South China's Guangdong province, will see troops conducting training such as urban counter-terrorism tactics, joint maritime strike operations and joint anti-submarine exercises.
The drill will last until early April.
The last Blue Strike joint drill was in Thailand in 2023.
China and Thailand also perform regular joint military exercises in the air and on the ground, respectively named Falcon Strike and Strike.
