China on early Friday successfully launched a new telecommunications satellite into space.
A Long March rocket carried the APSTAR-6E satellite which was blasted into space from Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China’s Sichuan province.
It entered its planned orbit successfully.
“The satellite is mainly used to provide high-throughput communication services for Southeast Asia region,” state-run Xinhua News reported.
It was the 460th flight mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.
