China road accident kills 19, injures 20

ANKARA

At least 19 people were killed and 20 others injured early Sunday as a truck ran over them in China’s eastern Jiangxi province, the state-run Global Times said.

The deceased were mourners from a nearby village who had set up a funeral tent on the side of the road.

The injured were rushed to a hospital shortly after the tragedy in Nanchang County.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
