China launches satellite for geographic research
Tianhui-7 satellite to be used for geographic mapping, land resource surveys, and scientific research
ISTANBUL
China on Tuesday launched a new satellite for geographic research purposes from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the country's northwest.
The Tianhui-7 satellite, launched aboard a Long March-4B rocket at 12.12 pm (0412GMT), has entered its planned orbit, according to state-run Xinhua News.
It will be primarily utilized for tasks such as geographic mapping, land resource surveys, and scientific research.
This launch also marked the 622nd mission in the Long March rocket series.
