5.6 magnitude earthquake hits Pacific nation of Tonga
No immediate tsunami warning has been issued

ANKARA
A 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck the Pacific island nation of Tonga on Thursday, with no immediate reports of a tsunami warning, said the German Research Center for Geosciences (GEOFON).
The quake hit the Tonga Islands region at 5.38 pm (0438GMT), GEOFON added.
Earlier, the center had said the magnitude of the tremor was recorded as 6.0 on the Richter Scale.
The US Geological Survey also recorded the intensity as 5.6 on the Richter scale, while the depth of the earthquake was measured between 10-25 kilometers (6-15 miles).
There were no immediate reports of damage to life or infrastructure.
