Dozens of homes damaged as heavy rains trigger flood in Sichuan province

ANKARA
At least 30 people are missing after heavy flooding hit southwestern China, state-run media said on Saturday.
Heavy rain that caused flash flooding in the Ya'an region of Sichuan province's Hanyuan county also damaged over 40 homes, state-run broadcaster CGTN reported.
Rescue teams arrived in the area and launched search efforts for missing people.
Earlier on Saturday, local media reported that at least 11 people were killed after part of a highway bridge in northwestern Shaanxi province collapsed.
The bridge, located in Shangluo city of Zhashui county, collapsed at around 8.40 p.m. local time (1240GMT) on Friday due to sudden downpour and flash floods.
