3 killed, dozens trapped in Philippines when landfill site collapses
Search and rescue operations continue after private landfill facility collapsed at around 0817GMT Thursday in Cebu City

At least three workers were killed and 34 others remain missing while 13 were rescued after the Thursday collapse of a landfill site in the Philippines.
The private landfill facility collapsed at around 4.17 pm (0817GMT) in Cebu City in the country’s Central Visayas region.
A woman's and a 25-year-old man's bodies were both recovered on Friday, while one person was already reported dead on Thursday, according to GMA News Online.
Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival earlier said the incident occurred at the Binaliw Landfill involving 110 employees.
Some of the rescued employees were hospitalized.
Authorities are continuing search, rescue, and retrieval operations to look for survivors.
