ANKARA

At least 11 people including numerous members of a single family were killed when a pickup truck and passenger bus collided in the Philippines’ coastal Cagayan province, local media said on Thursday.

The bus was on its way from the city of Baguio to Santa Ana in the Cagayan province when it collided with the pickup in Abulug, Manila Times reported, citing the Philippine National Police.

Ten of the victims were members of a single family going home in the pickup truck after attending the funeral of a relative in the area.

Police have reportedly arrested the bus driver and launched an investigation.
