SOCCER: BRAZILIAN STARS JOIN FENERBAHCE
ISTANBUL - Turkish football team Fenerbahce signed Friday official contracts with Brazilian players Andre Clarindo Dos Santos and Cristian Oliveira Baroni from Corinthians.

Cristian and Dos Santos said they decided to join Fenerbahce after getting information from current and former Brazilian players of the Istanbul side.
"I spoke with former Fenerbahce player Luciano. I asked him about the structure of the club and the country, as well as club's fans. His answers were quite positive. I can say we came here without any hesitations since there are several Brazilian players in the team," Cristiano told reporters at the signing ceremony.
Joining of two more Brazilians to the team increased the number of Brazilian players to eight in the Istanbul side.
Dos Santos said Fenerbahce was a well-known club in his country.
"It is because of Brazilian players in the squad and their success in Turkish league and in European championships," Dos Santos said.
Brazilian international Dos Santos starred in 2009 Confederation Cup. 26-year-old left-back started his football career at Flamengo and later moved to Atletico Minerio. He was playing for Corinthians since 2008.
Christian Oliveria Baroni is also 26 years old. He started playing football at Atletico Paranense. After a year of Flamengo experience on loan, he moved to Corinthians in 2008.
