KOC DECORATED WITH EXCELLENT ORDER
ISTANBUL - A prominent Turkish businessman has been honored with the "Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE)."

A statement by Koc Holding said on Wednesday that Turkey's Koc Holding Honorary Chairman Rahmi Koc would receive the award at a ceremony to be held this year.
British Embassy said in a statement that Rahmi Koc would be decorated with "Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire" for his great contributions to Turkish-British relations.
The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is an order of chivalry established on June 4, 1917 by George V of the United Kingdom. The Order comprises five classes in civil and military divisions. In decreasing order of seniority, these are:
-Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the British Empire (GBE) or Dame Grand Cross of the Order of the British Empire (GBE)
-Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire (KBE) or Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE)
-Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE)
-Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE)
-Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE)
