Turkish national defense minister said on Friday that two of Heron (unmanned aerial vehicle) engines that had been earlier sent to Israel for maintenance were delivered to Turkey.
Replying to questions of parliamentarians at the parliamentary planning and budget commission, National Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz said that five Heron engines had been sent to Israel and two of them were delivered to Turkey. The remaining three engines would come later, he added.
Yilmaz recalled that Turkey and Israel had signed an agreement on purchase of 10 Herons in 2005.
