The Egyptian Administrative Court on Wednesday cancelled Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi's four stage elections planned for April 21.
The Court said that it cancelled the elections as the Egyptian Constitutional Court's demand for changes in the elections laws were not implemented.
Political experts expect the Egyptian Administrative Court's decision to increase tension in the country.
Egyptian High Election Council stated they will continue working until Egyptian judiciary says the last word
A member of the Egyptian High Election Council, Abdurrahman Behlul said that "we would continue working until the Egyptian judiciary says the last word".
Behlul's comments came after the Egyptian Administrative Court on Wednesday cancelled Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi's four stage elections planned for April 21.
The Court said that it cancelled the elections as the Egyptian Constitutional Court's demand for changes in the elections laws were not implemented.
Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA), Behlul underlined that they would continue working and preparing for the elections until a final decision gets made by the Egyptian judiciary.
"The file will now be sent to the Constitutional Court. The Egyptian High Election Council will stop working for the elections (of April 21) if the Constitutional Court makes a decision on not holding the elections," Behlul emphasized.
