It marks 2nd deportation flight under rare US–Iran agreement, launched amid Trump administration’s push to expel undocumented immigrants
ISTANBUL
The US plans to deport several dozen Iranians to their home country on Sunday, according to a CNN source familiar with the matter.
It marks the second deportation flight carried out under a rare agreement between Washington and Tehran amid the Trump administration’s intensified effort to remove undocumented immigrants.
The source said the deportation flight is expected to make a stop in Kuwait before continuing on to Iran.
The National Iranian American Council, a nonprofit organization, criticized the decision and urged the administration to stop the flight.
