Vought, a chief architect of Project 2025, confirmed in 53-47 vote

ISTANBUL
The US Senate confirmed Russell Vought as director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Thursday in a 53-47 vote.
Vought, a key architect of Project 2025, a conservative policy framework for President Donald Trump’s second term, is returning to lead the White House budget office, where he will oversee federal spending, agency operations and policy coordination.
He previously served as OMB director during the final months of Trump’s first term and is expected to play a central role in implementing the administration’s fiscal and policy priorities.
