WASHINGTON

The Commission on Presidential Debates released Tuesday subjects for the first presidential debate next week.

The event between US President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden will be held Tuesday, Sept. 29 at Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.

Moderator Chris Wallace selected the six topics to be debated, including Trump and Biden records, the Supreme Court, COVID-19, the economy, race and violence in US cities and the integrity of the election.

"The format for the first debate calls for six 15-minute time segments dedicated to topics announced in advance in order to encourage deep discussion of the leading issues facing the country," said the Commission.

There will be three debates that will each run 90 minutes without commercial interruption.
