US Central Command (CENTCOM) said Friday that its forces killed a senior Daesh/ISIS leader and two of his adult sons in an early-morning raid carried out in the northern Syrian city of al-Bab.

The operation, which took place in Aleppo province, resulted in the deaths of Dhiya’ Zawba Muslih al-Hardani and his sons, Abdallah Dhiya al-Hardani and Abd al-Rahman Dhiya Zawba al-Hardani, all identified as affiliated with the terror group and posing "a threat to US and Coalition Forces, as well as the new Syrian Government," said the post on X.

According to CENTCOM, no civilians were harmed in the raid, including three women and three children who "were also on the target."

“We will continue to relentlessly pursue ISIS terrorists wherever they are,” CENTCOM chief Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla was quoted as saying.

He added: “ISIS terrorists are not safe where they sleep, where they operate, and where they hide.”

“Alongside our partners and allies, US Central Command is committed to the enduring defeat of ISIS terrorists that threaten the region, our allies, and our homeland,” Kurilla said.
