WASHINGTON

Former US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will not attend President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration on Jan. 20, according to media reports.

Her spokesperson did not provide details on why she is skipping the event, reports said.

Pelosi attended Trump’s first inauguration in 2017 when she was House minority leader.

The 84-year-old lawmaker had hip replacement surgery after she fell on a congressional trip to Luxembourg last month. Pelosi returned to Congress with a walker to take part in a joint session to certify the results of the 2024 presidential election.
