Former Trump lawyer Giuliani hospitalized after car crash
Rudy Giuliani's spokesperson says former New York mayor sustained fractured vertebrae and multiple injuries, expected to remain hospitalized for several days
ISTANBUL
Rudy Giuliani, the former lawyer for US President Donald Trump, was taken to the hospital with several broken bones after his car was "struck from behind at high speed" in New Hampshire, his spokesperson said Sunday.
Giuliani's spokesperson, Michael Ragusa, said he was found with "fractured thoracic vertebrae, multiple lacerations and contusions, as well as injuries to his left arm and lower leg," according to CBC News.
The accident occurred Saturday night.
Ragusa noted that before the crash, Giuliani was stopped by a woman who was a victim of domestic violence. He "rendered assistance," called 911, and "remained on scene with her until responding officers arrived to ensure her safety."
How that incident connects to the car crash that injured the former mayor remains unclear.
He said “America’s mayor’’ will likely stay in a Manchester-area hospital for two to three more days before wearing a brace for his broken vertebrae.
Giuliani gained prominence as a New York prosecutor in the 1980s and later served two terms as mayor. He ran for president in 2008 and later advised President Trump.
