'Boys will be boys,' White House says about Musk-Navarro tariff spat

WASHINGTON
The White House reacted Tuesday to a recent public fight between tech billionaire Elon Musk and President Donald Trump's trade adviser Peter Navarro on tariffs.
"These are obviously two individuals who have very different views on trade and on tariffs. Boys will be boys, and we will let their public sparring continue," spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt told reporters.
“You guys should all be very grateful that we have the most transparent administration in history," she added.
Her remarks came after Musk called Navarro a “moron” for claims he made about Tesla’s manufacturing and assembly process.
“Navarro is truly a moron. What he says here is demonstrably false,” Musk wrote on X.
Navarro claimed that Tesla is "not a car manufacturer,” but rather a “car assembler."
