Ugandan dance group of orphans arrives in Turkey
Masaka Kids Africana, which got its name from Masaka town in southern Uganda -- located around 130 kilometers (80 miles) southwest of the capital Kampala -- attracted the attention of the world with their dance videos posted on social media.
The airport personnel in Istanbul organized a surprise welcome event for the orphans, welcoming them with placards saying: “Istanbul will dance with you!”, “Welcome Masaka Kids Africa”.
The children broke into a short dance at the airport in response.
The dancers are going to attend a number of TV programs and hold performances in Istanbul from Dec. 14 to 23.
