Turkish president travels to Ethiopia on official visit

ISTANBUL

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan traveled on Tuesday to Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, for an official visit.

Erdogan was seen off from the State Guest House at Ataturk Airport by Istanbul Governor Davut Gul, Justice and Development (AK) Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Abdullah Ozdemir, and other officials.

During his visit to Addis Ababa, Erdogan is expected to hold both a one-on-one meeting and inter-delegation talks with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.

Following the meetings, he is scheduled to attend a signing ceremony for agreements and participate in a joint press conference.
