Turkish Airlines and Air Namibia have signed a codeshare agreement, the Turkish flag carrier said in a statement Tuesday.
The companies are due to share flight codes on services between Windhoek, Johannesburg, Frankfurt and Istanbul from March 1, the statement said.
Codesharing provides clearer routing for customers and easier flight booking.
“The partnership will bring benefit to both carriers, not only from a commercial perspective but also in cultural interactions between Turkey and Namibia while promoting business travel between two countries,” Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Eksi said.
Namibia’s Deputy Transport Minister James Sankwasa added: “We believe that this will be just one of the many areas of cooperation between Turkish Airlines and Air Namibia.”
