The African Union has accused warring parties in South Sudan of violations of human rights in a long-awaited report.
The 315-page report released late Tuesday by African Union Commission of Inquiry on South Sudan (AUCISS) said the Sudanese People’s Liberation Army (ethnic majority Dinka SPLA) headed by the incumbent president Salva Kiir and Sudanese People’s Liberation Army (ethnic majority Nuer SPLA in opposition) loyal to former vice president Riek Machar had committed serious human rights violations.
