ANKARA

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will meet Sierra Leone President Ernest Bai Koroma on Wednesday during his official visit to Turkey.

According to the Turkish Presidency's press center, the two leaders will hold a meeting on Wednesday in Ankara.

"This first official visit is a sign that we are continuing to deepen our relationship with the African continent especially in the latest period, and it is a turning point with regards to the development and strengthening of relations between the two countries," the press center said on Tuesday

The Sierra Leone president arrives in Turkey on Tuesday. He is expected to stay until Thursday.

This marks the first time a president from Sierra Leone comes to Turkey.
