Ethiopia reports 245 new cases, 7 deaths
Addis Ababa worst-hit with 190 new cases

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia
Ethiopia on Friday confirmed a record 245 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours out of 5,709 people tested.
According to an update by the Health Ministry, the total number of cases has now spiked to 2,915.
In the last 24 hours, seven patients have died while there are 38 patients in intensive care.
The cosmopolitan city of Addis Ababa is the worst-hit with 190 new cases.
Ethiopia declared a five-month state of emergency in April to curb the spread of COVID-19.
