Coronavirus cases continue to rise in Nigeria
Country registers 1,398 new cases, up from 1,270 from day earlier

ANKARA
Nigeria has registered 1,398 new coronavirus cases, health authorities said late Wednesday, up from 1,270 infections recorded a day earlier.
In its latest update, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said nine more deaths from the virus were reported over the past day, down from 12 reported a day before.
The total number of cases in the country rose to nearly 104,000, including 1,373 fatalities and 82,555 recoveries.
The most affected regional state is Lagos with 260 deaths and 37,852 infections, followed by the Federal Capital Territory with 111 deaths and 13,938 infections, according to the NCDC.
