Chad extends coronavirus curfew in capital
Curfews to resume Wednesday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. local time, says decree

YAOUNDE, Cameroon
Chad authorities extended a curfew in the country's capital N’Djamena and other provinces to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Authorities said in a decree late on Tuesday that curfews would resume Wednesday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. local time.
The curfew came after the country recorded 43 coronavirus cases including 33 in N’Djamena Tuesday.
The Central African nation has recorded 3,161 virus cases so far, including 2,255 recoveries and 116 fatalities, according to the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention.
Officials have urged the population to strictly comply with all measures to prevent the coronavirus.
