ANKARA
Turkey has called on the UN Security Council (UNSC) to "take the necessary measures against Syria's offensive actions towards Turkey and stop the violations of Syria that breaks international law, international peace and security" in a letter that it has sent to UNSC on Thursday.
Turkey's Permanent Representative at the UN, Ambassador Ertugrul Apakan sent the letter to the President of the UNSC for the month of October and Guatemala's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Gert Rosenthal.
It was announced that the letter gave detailed information about the Syrian attack on Turkey, called on UNSC to "take the necessary measures against Syria's offensive actions towards Turkey and stop the violations of Syria that breaks international law, international peace and security" and demanded Syria to respect Turkey's security, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
