'Opposition uses sarin gas against regime's soldiers'

Ja'afari asks for UN's search into the matter

UNITED NATIONS (AA) - Permanent Representative of Syria to the United Nations Bashar Ja'afari said Wednesday that opposition groups in Syria used sarin gas against the regime's soldiers on August 22, 24, and 25 and asked for UN's search into the matter.

"Soldiers affected by the gas were taken to the hospital. We ask the Secretary-General of UN to assign the UN team to investigate the attacks by terrorist groups," Ja'afari told journalists.

A letter on the matter was sent to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and UN Security Council, he said.
