Separatists in Ukraine hold referendum on joining Russia

A referendum on joining Russia was held on Sept. 23-27 in Ukraine’s so-called ‘People's Republics’ of Donetsk and Luhansk, currently under the control of pro-Russian separatists, and in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, both seized by the Russian army.
