  • Zelenskyy says Kyiv to not compromise on territorial issues

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Kyiv will not compromise on territorial issues while negotiating peace with Moscow.

“The answer to the Ukrainian territorial question already is in the Constitution of Ukraine. No one will deviate from this – and no one will be able to. Ukrainians will not gift their land to the occupier,” he said on Telegram.

Zelenskyy’s statement came hours after US President Donald Trump announced a meeting with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, on Aug. 15 in Alaska to discuss the Ukrainian settlement

  • Lebanese army personnel killed, injured in blast of Israeli ammunition remnants in south

Several Lebanese army personnel were killed and others injured when ammunition remnants from Israeli aggression exploded during an attempt to dismantle them in southern Lebanon, the Lebanese National News Agency reported.

According to the agency, the blast occurred in an area between the towns of Majdal Zoun and Zebqine in the Tyre district, where an army engineering team was working to neutralize unexploded ordnance.

The explosion resulted in fatalities and injuries, though the exact toll has not yet been confirmed.

  • 466 protesters arrested in London as hundreds rally in support of Palestine Action

A total of 466 protesters have been arrested in London as hundreds held a demonstration in support of the Palestine Action group.

Gathering in Parliament Square, hundreds of people are demonstrating in support of Gaza and Palestine Action, a group the UK banned last month.

Carrying Palestinian flags, many protesters also carried signs reading: "I oppose genocide, I support Palestine Action."

  • Spot market electricity prices for Sunday, Aug. 10

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Sunday will be 3,400 Turkish liras between 8 pm and 9 pm (1700-1800 GMT), according to figures released Saturday.

The lowest rate was set at 200 liras between 11 am 12 pm local time, data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Saturday's electricity market shows a decrease of 25.8% to around 1.47 billion liras compared to Friday.
