Mediterranean Games in Mersin end with dazzling ceremony and the games flag was handed over to next host.

MERSIN
17th Mediterranean Games in Turkey's southern city of Mersin ended on Sunday.
The closing ceremony at the Mersin Stadium was attended by thousands of people and also by President of International Committee of Mediterranean Games Amar Addadi, Turkish Minister of Youth & Sports Suat Kilic, Minister of Family & Social Policies Fatma Sahin, Minister of Economy Zafer Caglayan and Mayor of Mersin Macit Ozcan.
Addadi said before of the closing ceremony that the organization was successful despite a limited preparations time and underlined, "The games were hosted perfectly. It is a great success for Mersin and Turkey. We all had experience of friendship, fellowship and moments of emotions."
Kilic said that the games created a new sensation and dynamic in Mersin and added that Turkish athletes were successful and won 126 medals including 47 gold at the Mediterranean Games.
Mayor Ozcan delivered the flag of the Mediterranean Games to Addadi who handed over the flag to the Mayor of the Spanish city of Tarragona Josep Felix Ballesteros, which will host the next Mediterranean Games.
