ANKARA

Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Friday at 9,389.62 points, falling 0.33% from the previous day.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 30.80 points with a daily trading volume of 85.4 billion liras ($2.48 billion).

On a weekly basis, the index gained 2.23% at Friday's close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,578.75, while Brent crude oil sold for around $72.15 per barrel as of 6.15 p.m. local time (1515GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 34.4244, euro/lira at 36.3051, while a British pound traded for 43.4744 liras.
