Italy’s FTSE MIB gains 0.57%, UK’s FTSE 100 performs worst by losing 1.57%

European stocks close lower, except in Italy

ISTANBUL

European stocks closed Tuesday with losses, except in Italy.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was down 4.29 points, or 0.93%, to finish at 455.57.

The UK’s FTSE 100 was the worst performer of the day, plummeting 117 points, or 1.57%, to end the session at 7,389.

Germany’s DAX 30 almost 137 points, or 0.86%, to 15,767. France’s CAC 40 trimmed 81 points, or 1.1%, to 7,267.

Spain’s IBEX 35 decreased 82 points, or 0.87%, to close at 9,347.

Italy’s FTSE MIB, on the other hand, rose 160 points, or 0.57%, to 28,435 at the final bell.
