Germany's DAX 30 gains 0.11%; Italy's FTSE MIB performs worst, plummeting 0.69%

European stocks close lower except for Germany

ISTANBUL

European stock exchanges closed lower on Tuesday except for Germany.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell 0.71 point, or 0.16%, to finish at 442.81.

Italy's FTSE MIB was the worst performer of the day, plummeting 196 points, or 0.69%, to 28,395.

The UK's FTSE 100 lost seven points, or 0.1%, to end the session at 7,410. France's CAC 40 declined 27 points, or 0.39%, to close at 6,986.

Spain's IBEX 35, meanwhile, decreased 5.6 points, or 0.06%, to end the day at 9,235.

Germany's DAX 30, on the other hand, rose 16 points, or 0.11%, to finish the day flat at 15,152.
