Turkey's crude oil imports decreased in June 2018 although diesel and aviation fuels imports rose, according to the country's energy watchdog's report on Friday.
Crude oil imports decreased by 8.8 percent to 1.8 million tonnes in June compared to the same month last year, Energy Marketing Regulatory Authority (EMRA) said.
Aviation fuels imports increased by 34.7 percent to 25 thousand tonnes and diesel imports grew by 11.1 percent to 1.2 million tonnes in June.
As a result, Turkey's total oil product imports decreased by 3.6 percent this June to 3.4 million tonnes compared to June 2017.
Production of oil refinery products increased by 7.1 percent to 2.5 million tonnes. In addition, diesel production increased by 7.8 percent to 2.2 million tonnes.
In June, total fuel sales rose by 11.9 percent to 349 thousand tonnes compared to the same month last year.
