Turkey's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports decreased by 22.77 percent to 252.1 thousand tons in October compared to the same month last year, according to a report by Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) released on Tuesday.
Imports to Turkey came from several different countries in October including Algeria, Norway, Kazakhstan, Russia, U.S., Ukraine, and Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Turkey's LPG production increased by 0.15 percent to 76.4 thousand tons in October, compared to the same month of 2016.
In addition, the country's LPG exports increased by 227.93 percent to 19.7 thousand tons in October. Among the countries that imported the highest LPG volumes from Turkey were Egypt, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Switzerland, Tunisia, Bulgaria, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Turkey's free trade zones.
Total sales of LPG hit 346.4 thousand tons, including 267.2 thousand tons of autogas, 69.3 thousand tons of bottled LPG and 9.9 thousand tons of bulk LPG.
