Poland filed a lawsuit with the European Court of Justice over EU gas reduction rules agreed in July, citing that the regulation was not agreed unanimously by the bloc.
Sebastian Kaleta, Poland's deputy minister of justice said on his Twitter account that the regulation was contrary to the agreements, adding, "It was not subject to the unanimous procedure."
Kaleta argued that Poland's veto right was blocked although it was clearly stated in the agreements.
"This is very important because the EU, which has been bringing new solutions in the energy field for several years, deprives Poland of the possibility of using its veto right," he said.
Kaleta claimed the EU is trying to take advantage of the energy crisis to fully take over in shaping the energy basket on the continent.
Within the scope of the emergency plan implemented in July, the EU demanded that all member countries reduce their gas consumption by 15% against the possibility of natural gas interruptions from Russia.
