Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.25% to 759,004 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 20.00 local time with 35,413 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 26,529 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Total electricity production reached 752,016 megawatt-hours on Wednesday with a 0.31% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from hydroelectricity plants at 221,976 megawatt-hours. Imported coal and run-of-river hydroelectricity plants followed with 141,749 megawatt-hours and 105,252 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,440 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 15,428 megawatt-hours.
