Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.22% on Thursday compared to the previous day to reach 862,626 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday at 10.00 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 15.00 local time, reaching 39,796 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,300 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 866,645 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 0.24% decrease from Wednesday.
Turkey's electricity production from hydroelectricity power plants constituted 24.7% of total electricity consumption, natural gas plants comprised 22.5%, while run-of-the-river plants held a 13.8% share.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 9,727 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 5,899 megawatt-hours.
