The Bulgarian Ministry of Energy gave its approval to Canadian Black Sea Copper & Gold to conduct comprehensive mineral exploration at the Kalabak project in Bulgaria, the company announced on Monday.
The company said that Black Sea has now signed a three-year exploration agreement with the Ministry of Energy for its 100 percent-owned Kalabak project.
"This agreement has been followed with approvals from Bulgaria’s Ministry of Environment and Water allowing the company [Black Sea] to commence its comprehensive exploration program at Kalabak," it explained.
The Kalabak property is located approximately 10 kilometers north of the Ada Tepe gold deposit, formed in the eastern part of the Rhodope Mountains 230 kilometers southeast of Sofia.
The upcoming exploration program will include structural mapping, soil and rock sampling over 10 kilometers of prospective host rocks and areas of regional structural complexity targeting Ada Tepe style epithermal mineralization.
