Washington invites Syrian opposition leader 

CAIRO

The Obama administration has invited the head of the newly recognised Syrian opposition coalition, Moaz al-Khatib, to Washington.

Speaker of the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces, Walid al-Bunni told AA correspondent that there was a tendency to accept the invitation but it was not set when it would take place.  
UN and Arab League Special Envoy for Syria Al-Ahdar al-Brahimi told a press conference on Monday in Cairo that Al-Khatib would visit Moscow next month.
