RABAT

At least 33 people, mostly children, were killed Friday in a road crash in southern Morocco.

A bus burst into flames after colliding with a truck near the southern city of Tan-Tan, killing 33 people, Morocco's official news agency reported.

"At least 21 children were among those killed in the accident," Sports Ministry official Mohamed Garaw said.

According to Garaw, at least ten other people, including four children, were injured.

The official added that a number of young athletes had been among those killed in the crash.
