ANKARA
U.S. Ambassador in Ankara Francis Ricciardone extended support to Turkey's candidacy to host 2020 olympic games.
Ricciardone told AA on Saturday that the inauguration ceremony for 2012 London Olympic Games had been very beautiful, and he expressed hope that Istanbul would host Olympic Games in 2020.
There is not any other city in the world which is more beautiful than Istanbul, said Ricciardone, adding that Istanbul would have been a very special place to host olympic games.
