ANKARA
Turkish Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan is set to travel to the Azeri capital of Baku on Monday to participate in a ministerial meeting of the Turkic Speaking Countries Cooperation Council.
The meeting will bring together economy ministers from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan ahead of a summit meeting of the Turkic council's heads of state and government.
Caglayan is also expected to be received by Azeri President Ilham Aliyev as well as hold bilateral talks with their counterparts.
Turkey's trade relations with Azerbaijan reached nearly 3.5 billion USD in 2011 from 300 million USD in 1999 with 2 billion USD worth of exports.
