Turkey to support Tunisian security department

ANKARA

Turkey will support Tunisian security department which has been under a renewal process following the Jasmine Revolution.
Besides training, Turkey will extend vehicle and equipment support to Tunisian security organization.
Turkish International Cooperation & Coordination Agency (TIKA) had opened an office in Tunisia following the visit of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to that country. 
TIKA gives priority to strengthen the security department and recover municipality services in Tunisia.
Thanks to TIKA, 451 Tunisian police officers have received training so far.
Turkish Deputy Premier Bekir Bozdag will pay a formal visit to Tunisia on March 17 and 18, and attend a ceremony during which Turkey's assistance will be delivered.
