OSMANIYE, Turkey

Four Daesh suspects captured by police in Turkey's southern province of Osmaniye have been deported, security sources said on Saturday.

Local police, acting on a tip-off, captured the three Algerians and one Lebanese national in a vehicle in Osmaniye city center.

The suspects were deported following questioning, police said.

Meanwhile, the Turkish military issued a statement saying border troops captured eight Daesh suspects, including five foreigners, on Friday.

The suspects in the south-central province of Kilis were held by troops as they were attempting to cross illegally from Syria into Kilis' Elbeyli district near the border.

Three children were among the group.

Soldiers also intercepted 393 people trying to enter Turkey illegally from Syria, the statement added.

Another 43 were stopped from crossing into Turkey from Iran, while 30 others were prevented from entering Greece, it read.
