Turkish Foreign Ministry condemned bomb attacks perpetrated this morning (23 July) in several regions of Iraq.

A statement by the ministry said, "We strongly condemn the terrorist bomb attacks perpetrated this morning (23 July) in several regions of Iraq, in particular in the capital city of Baghdad and Kirkuk, which resulted in heavy loss of life. We wish God's mercy upon those who lost their lives in these attacks, convey our condolences to their bereaved families and wish a speedy recovery to those injured."
"Our grief is aggravated by the fact that these heinous attacks took place in the holy month of Ramadan, at a time when the feelings of love, friendship, tolerance and solidarity should be prominent," it said.
"As has always been the case, we reiterate once again that Turkey will be in solidarity with the friendly and brotherly people of Iraq in fighting terrorism and wish that such acts of violence targeting the peace and stability of our neighbor Iraq will come to an end immediately," it said.
