PM Erdogan attends opening session of Rio+20

RIO DE JANEIRO

Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan attended the opening session of Rio+20, United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro.
Erdogan will address the Rio+20 Summit and will deliver a speech at a session titled "Least developed countries and Rio+20".
Erdogan will return to Turkey on Thursday night.
The United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD) is being organized in pursuance of General Assembly Resolution 64/236. The Conference takes place in Brazil on June 20-22, 2012 to mark the 20th anniversary of the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED), in Rio de Janerio, and the 10th anniversary of the 2002 World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) in Johannesburg. It is envisaged as a Conference at the highest possible level, including Heads of State and Government.
